What do I want?

I want there to be fulfillment in my work.

I want to know what it is I should be working towards.

I want to live each day with a peaceful spirit and a joyful heart within me, no matter what the circumstances surrounding me may be.

I want to be more focused on the needs of others and less on my own.

I want to pray. I want to be more disciplined in my prayer habits. If this means getting up earlier every day so that I can begin my day with God, I want to discipline myself to do that and see what changes come of it.

I want to serve others.

I want to be less ruled by stress.

I want to have a garden and grow berries, fruits and veggies, fresh herbs and beautiful things in it.

I want to live simply but richly, and be less of a consumer.

I want to be able to give more.

I want to not put the life I truly want to live aside when the day gets too busy or too stressful to make these things priorities.

I want to be like this: “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
